Lumous 2014

Viime perjantaina suuntasimme kohti Tamperetta Lumoukseen. J:n töiden takia pääsimme perille niin myöhään, että perjantain klubi oli pakko jättää väliin. Kävimme vain ravintolassa syömässä ja sitten suorinta tietä nukkumaan.

Lauantai oli mukava aloittaa Breakfast clubilla. Vatsa tuli täyteen ja sitten olikin aika mennä ihmettelemään Dark Markettia. Myyjiä tuntui olevan tänä vuonna tavallista vähemmän, mutta jotain silti tarttui mukaan. Wreckdancen levy jäi viime vuonna ostamatta, joten nyt kotiutettiin sellainen. En myöskään voinut vastustaa Roguen printtitoppia. En ole aivan varma, sopiiko topin A-linjainen malli vartalotyypilleni, joten se saattaa ehkä vaatia vähän muokkausta.

Lauantaina tuli vietettyä niin paljon aikaa ulkona, että alkuillasta minulla alkoi ilmenemään lieviä auringonpistoksen oireita. Ei voinut muuta kuin mennä petiin lepäilemään ja toivomaan että paha olo ja väsymys menisivät äkkiä ohi. Parin tunnin päästä alkoi olemaan parempi olo ja ehdin juuri sopivasti valmistautumaan illan klubille.

Translation:

Last Friday me and J headed towards Tampere for Lumous gothic festival. Because of his working time we arrived to Tampere so late we didn't bother to go to club. Just went to nice restaurant and after that to hotel for sleeping.

We started Saturday by eating breakfast at Breakfast club. We got our bellies full and headed towards Dark Market. The Market was a bit smaller than last year but we still found a couple of things. We didn't buy Wreckdance CD last year but now we were able to correct that. I also could not resist Rogues print so I bought a top for me. I'm not sure does the A-line fit to my body type so I probably have to do some changes.

On Saturday we spent so much time outdoors that I started to feel mild symptoms of sunstroke. I slept a couple of hours and luckily I felt much better after that. I had just right amount of time to get myself ready to club.

Mixed feelings

Viime perjantaina oli työharjoittelujaksoni viimeinen päivä. Nyt pääsee siis lomailemaan ja suunnittelemaan tulevaa kouluvuotta. Tämänkertainen työharjoittelu oli todella antoisa kokemus, sillä pääsin tekemään oikeasti niitä oman alan töitä. Tehtävät olivat sopivan haastavia; harjoittelun aikana oppi kyllä todella paljon, mutta missään vaiheessa ei ollut sellaista fiilistä että olisi pihalla kuin lumiukko. Lisäksi tuli sellainen fiilis, että muu porukka osastolla arvosti oikeasti työpanostani. Läksiäislahjaksi sain talon puolesta tuotepaketin, johon kuului mm. nämä kynsilakat ja ihanat sulkakorvakorut. Työmentorini antoi minulle omasta puolestaan vielä lahjaksi kuoharipullon ja suklaalevyn. Jäi tosi hyvä mieli!

 Translation:

Last Friday was last day of my internship period. Now I finally have a holiday so that means some freetime and planning next school year. Internship experience was really good for me because the tasks really had correspondence with my education. I also felt that people at our department appreciated my labor input a lot. When I was leaving I received couple of gifts; some products from the company and sparkling wine & chocolate from my mentor. I was really glad.

Clothing Chronicles: Ancient Rome

Kiirettä pitää, mutta yritän silti ehtiä tekemään teille yhden kiinnostavan postauksen joka viikko. Viime aikoina ei ole ollut liikaa vapaa-aikaa työharjoittelun ja -matkojen takia. Onneksi harjoittelupaikka on sentään mieluinen. Työkaverit ovat kivoja ja työtehtävät mielekkäitä. Joitain suunnittelemiani tuotteita harkitaan jopa tuotantoon!

Onneksi minulla on teille tälläkin viikolla sentään jotain järkevää. Tässä toinen osa vaatetuksen historiaan liittyvistä piirustuksistani: antiikin Rooma. Seuraavan piirämistäkin on jo aloitettu! (Pahoittelut huonolaatuisesta kuvasta, aaltoilevaa paperia on hankala skannata.)

Translation:

I still try to make one interesting post per week although I really have not had too much spare time recently. The internship takes almost 40 hours from my week (plus travelling there). Good thing is that I like to work there. People are nice and the tasks are interesting the most of the time. They even consider to manufacture some of my designs. Yay! 

Luckily I have something for you even this week. Here is the second part of clothing chronicles: Ancient Rome. I have also already started drawing next one! (Sorry for the bad quality picture. Paper was so wavy it was hard to scan.)
